An article of various types worn by a person on the face for practical or ornamental purpose, and often made of precious metal and embellished with gemstones. These include such vision aids asspectacles, lorgnette, and quizzing glass, as well as decorative pieces, including the forehead ornament and labret, and the many types of ear ornament and nose ornament, including the Indian jewelsset in the forehead, the cheek, and the side of the nose.
