Point Cut Diamond

A diamond in the form of an octahedron, being the natural form of the stone, and merely polished; sometimes called a Glassie. It was the earliest style used, from c. 1475, and was seldom used afterthe early 16th century when it was largely superseded by the pyramid cut and the table cut diamond.
