A type of finger ring made of gold in the form of a band of twisted rope, sometimes two or more such bands making a wide hoop. On some examples the bands are not parallel and adjacent but are spreadapart to form loops above and below the central band, and occasionally a band is wound diagonally around a plain hoop. Some similar rings are made with twisted strands of gold wire.
